So, today I tried producing some shilouettes as a friend of mine, designosaur, suggested. Every player is just a shilouette with a color now – instead of a happy circle. 😐
I’m actually very happy about the results. It instantly made everything more ominous and creepy. Also, the first animation is already more fluid than I had expected. I will certainly polish the animation here and there in the course of development. Also, I’d love to let the player decide between different types of shilouettes. It will be a lot of work, so I’ll save that for coding breaks and do it gradually.
While this poses some new challenges, especially regarding collision, I feel it was the right decision.
